Keskuskatu, Kalevankatu, and Yrjönkatu in Helsinki

Sito has drafted the construction plan for the pedestrian area at Keskuskatu in Helsinki and the pedestrian areas at Kalevankatu and Yrjönkatu.

Keskuskatu, a section of Kalevankatu from Yrjönkatu to Mannerheimintie, and a section of Yrjönkatu from Kalevankatu to Eerikinkatu have been planned in one project. Sito has functioned as prime-consultant and architectural office APRT has functioned as sub-consultant.

The drafting stage was done in cooperation with Helsinki City Planning Department and Public Works Department. Construction planning has mainly been done with the Public Works Department.

The section on Kalevankatu was finished during fall 2008. The section on Yrjönkatu was completed during summer 2010 and Keskuskatu was done during 2009-2012.
