Versatile Search Options
The service combines the municipality citizens’ most commonly used services into on easy-to-use web page. Searches can be done by text, by address, by name, by post code, and by distance, or by service groups.
The service includes a word search for various services. Most citizens do not know which office handles which services. The Service Map provides the information automatically.
Feedback from Users
The Service Map also includes a feedback feature that is linked straight to the office and its services. In some of the offices there is a feedback forum, where questions and the responses are largely made public. The user can send questions or feedback through the feedback system straight to the person responsible for a certain service. This person can then respond to the question in the form of a feedback.
The Service Map is a collaboration over several years which is designed to make finding city services easier and to make cooperation between municipalities and within cities easier. The information on the Service Map is always up-to-date.
The service has been developed in Helsinki, in the Economic and Planning Centre’s IT department in cooperation with other departments in the city and with Espoo, Vantaa, and Kauniainen. The service is based on Sito’s Louhi Service, which is widely used in municipalities.
