Jani Lepistö, Chief Engineer, Regional Director, Lahti

Jani Lepistö started work at the beginning of 2016 as an Regional Director in Sito’s new branch office in Lahti.

We believe in solid expertise and a domestic operating model that meets customers needs with agility.

Who are you?

I am Jani Lepistö, a 36-year-old music lover and amateur guitar player and an engineer.

What do you do at Sito?

I began at Sito in mid-January as a Regional Director. I operate from Lahti where Sito established a new branch office right in the town centre, next to the market place.  ”Our target is to increase the number of staff to almost ten by the end of the year, and in a couple of years to about twenty,” said Mr Lepistö in an interview for the newspaper Etelä-Suomen Sanomat on 13 February 2016.

What are your responsibilities?

I am the Area Director in charge of Päijänne Tavastia and Southeastern Finland. Our range of expertise representative of what Sito can offer, supporting our key idea – one Sito.

What are your targets?

My target is to make Sito an important local player in Päijänne Tavastia and Southeastern Finland. ”The Lahti region has lots of opportunities and good projects in progress. Sito operates nationwide, but we want to ensure that we have local expertise for our projects. We believe in solid expertise and a domestic operating model that meets customers needs with agility.” Rakennuslehti magazine, 30 March 2016

My job is made so much easier by the fact that Sito already has quite a good local reputation.  The Päijänne Tavastia region has a good track record in environmental and geotechnical expertise and telecommunication design. I believe that by combining the regional expertise to what Sito can offer as a whole will help us reach our target.”
