S.O.M.A. to join Sito
Sito Oy has acquired the entire share capital and business operations of S.O.M.A. Oy. The acquisition will strengthen Sito's consultancy services in virtual modelling and visualization.
S.O.M.A. Oy is a company that produces 3D internet services. Their selection of services includes 3D urban spaces produced from compilation models and virtual models for end users connected to them. Another strong area is the integration and utilization of building information modelling (BIM).
The know-how and services of S.O.M.A. complement Sito's current services well. Following the merger, Sito will be able to offer its customers innovative visual 3D virtual spaces created from combinations of 3D model data, and integration of BIM models to all phases of the life cycle of buildings and infrastructure. S.O.M.A. founder Petri Kokko will take charge of Sito's visualization services in future.
